FLORA SKY: Post 12
So here I am in Turzoro city, about to get my third Gym Badge!..
But before I do that, I need to go find Wally's stolen Pokedex. He can't do it himself because of:
A) He's Lazy
B) He reverted back to pessimistic mode
C) He has fallen and he can't get up, and he doesn't have Life Alert.
The question becomes where the hell did the Team Aqua member who stole Wally's Pokedex go?
I head north from Turzoro City to Route L, where i spot a Team Aqua member blocked by a bunch of Azurill. Hmm... I decide to confront the Grunt.
Clearly, this is probably the one who stole the Pokedex. The Azurill growl (Must be very scary), and the Team Aqua member says that I wont get the Pokedex that easy! Then, we get into a battle... Wally's Pokedex is on the line!
This Aqua Grunt brings out a single Carvanha (again), which should be easy with Luxio, but I decide to use Staravia instead. The Carvanha faints after one Wing Attack.
The Aqua grunt admits defeat, hands me the Pokedex and then asks me to "please step aside" like a well-mannered little kid. lol. The Azurill still will not move, but that is not a concern at the moment. I head back to Turzoro to give Wally his Pokedex back! Wally gives me an ITEMFINDER in return! Cool! Now I can... um... FIND ITEMS!!!!!1!!!!
But then... the nightmare... he says.. BATTLE ME.
Battle time.
Before I go to the battle i'm gonna take this moment to LOL at Wally's battle sprite.

He's like half drunk and is posing like Leonardo DiCaprio in "Titanic"
Battle sprites are always easy to make fun of because they are so ridiculous.
Wally sends out his Level 25 Kirlia, which means it's Sandile's time to shine, being half dark type.
I have Sandile use his Crunch attack, draining half of Kirlia's HP. Kirlia then uses Calm Mind... which somehow manages to defend my next Crunch attack, as the second Crunch didn't make Kirlia faint... just one more hit and I win. And that is exactly what happens.
Wally says bye-bye, and NOW I can go get my Third Badge... but nah; there is a cave that I missed back in the previous route that I want to check out! I head to the cave and read the sign...
OMG; does this mean I can get a fossil!?!? Lets check it out!
So i do that... and... dead end. There is a wall with little rocks sticking out, which means that I need the HM that teaches Rock Climb (Yes that is implemented in this game)... Looks like I'll have to get the Fossil when I'm much further in the game... bummer...
Now FINALLY I head to my the Turzoro City Gym!
I read the sign and it turns out that the Third Gym Leader is the same as the one in Emerald; Wattson, who trains Electric Types. That means Staravia and Prinplup are screwed, but Graveler and Sandile will shine. Let's do this!
First Trainer in the gym; and i just ate my words. He has a Chinchou; an Electric AND Water type... I switch out Sandile and replace him with Kirlia. Kirlia uses Psychic, Chinchou's HP is dropped to half... but then it uses Supersonic, which means Kirlia is confused. After a couple of turns of Kirlia being emo, Kirlia is down to about 20 HP... I need to heal; GOOD THING I got a few FULL RESTORES and the Teaes City Department Store! So I use that, bringing my Kirlia back to Full Health, and getting rid of it's Confusion! I use Psychic again, it's down to ONE HP, but then it uses ThunderBolt... AND IT'S CRITICAL. Kirlia is also down to 1HP... omg... Good thing this is just a trainer, so I use a super potion.
The Chinchou then uses spark, paralyzing Kirlia (does it ever end???); but Good thing my Kirlia has Syncronize! Chinchou get's paralyzed as well! I take my chances with one more Psychic; but Chinchou is slightly faster than me, and tries to attack with Thunderbolt... BUT HE'S PARALYZED! My Kirlia uses Psychic, and it works; the Chinchou faints! YES!
The Trainer then sends out Blitzle, so I send Sandile back out. I use Sand Tomb, and the Blitzle faints! What an awesome battle!
Now... to the Gym Leader...
Wattson starts with Elekid, and it uses Low Kick on my Sandile. It brings Sandile's HP from 61 to 34. I use SandTomb, it's super effective, but it only drains half of Elekid's HP! After another turn of the same moves, Elekid faints, and Sandile is left with 9 HP... but he gains the experience to grow to Level 25!
Next Pokemon up is Lanturn, Water/Electric type, so I switch out Sandile, and bring out Luxio; because I remember how hard of a time Kirlia had with Chinchou; it'll get destroyed with Lanturn. First thing Lanturn does to Luxio is Paralyze it, but I still manage to get a Spark in.. but wait.. THE LANTURN HAS VOLT ABSORB. WTF This is gonna be my most difficult battle yet!... My Luxio faints...
I bring Kirlia back out, and it gets Confused at literally kills itself -_- I'm fucked. Volt Absorb AND FUCKING SUPERSONIC? ANNOYINGGGG
In the end I do lose the battle, which sucks. I haven't lost up until now. I guess I have to train my pokemon a little more... and that is exactly what i do; I spend a couple HOURS training.
I give Kirlia the everstone, as I want him to evolve into Gallade at some point, not Gardevoir. And My Sandile evolves into Krokorok! All of my pokemon are in the low 30s now, and it's time to battle Wattson one more time.
He starts off with Elekid; Easy. One of Krokorok's Sand Tomb's destroyed it. Now I have to battle that stupid Lanturn.. wish me luck! I send out Kirlia. Lanturn gets Kirlia Paralyzed, but Syncronize paralyzes it too... I use a Full Restore; and then; Double Team time. I'm gonna make Kirlia's evasiveness maxed out... and then, I'll use Calm Mind a couple of times, and Spam Psychic; and hope that will get me the win. I then realize Lanturn has Shock Wave; an attack that never misses... THIS LANTURN IS TOO OP WTF IT'S ONLY THE THIRD GYMMMM.
I FINALLY manage to kill THAT BITCH... UGHHH. Okay... next pokemon. Magneton. I send out Krokorok. A couple of Sand Tombs, and Magneton is down.. now time for Wattson's last pokemon. A FUCKING EMOLGA...
OMG I HATE EMOLGAAAAAA... but hopefully i can win this time. Emolga literally uses my strategy against me: Spam Double Team. Great. My Krokorok faints, and I bring out Graveler. I use a Rock Throw; and BAM; Emolga faints; I just won the battle FINALLY, and that was STRESSFUL... but at least I got the badge, and I am now ready to move on in this game!
